It's always such a fantastic surprise when brides send us their wedding photos because aside from the dresses or accessories ordered from us, we have no idea what else was in store for the big day. Weddings truly are an opportunity to let your personalities show, and today's featured wedding is a brilliant example.
Married in Rancho Palos Verde, CA, Samantha and Christopher had their spring time ceremony at Wayfarers Chapel followed by a reception at the Double Tree Hotel San Pedro. With a theme of color and paper, they folded 1000 origami cranes (the groom's last name happens to be Crane!) with a plethora of other paper-made decorations such as cootie catcher place settings and paper lanterns.
Christopher made this gorgeous paper rosette archway. Who says guys can't do DIY projects? =)
Samantha dressed 3 of her bridesmaids in Alfred Sung peau de soie dresses in Style D437. Her 4th bridesmaid, who was 7 months pregnant at the time, wore Style D435 and ordered an extra yard of fabric to alter her dress into a maternity style.
"I wanted all my girls in a different color and struggled to find the right dresses at affordable prices until I found your site. I was a bit concerned the different colored dresses would end up looking silly but it turned out perfect. I used opposing colored bouquets for the girls and the groomsman matched the girls with colored vest and ties."
Overall Samantha loved every minute of wedding planing and enjoyed doing so much stuff themselves. Her most memorable moment was standing outside of the church with her dad with butterflies in her stomach. "My dad said the anticipation felt like standing in line at Supreme Scream which we had just done at Knott's Berry Farm two days before."
Congrats Samantha and Christopher! May your lives together exude as much joy and vibrancy as your colorful wedding day!
