Real Weddings: Mary Margaret and Chris

Our brides can't get enough of the color gray! It has become a staple color in achieving an understated and timeless look. Today's real wedding is from Mary Margaret and Chris, married last August in Jackson, Mississippi at the First Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at Duling Hall Auditorium. When asked about a memorable moment, Mary Margaret recalled when it started pouring rain right before she was about to walk down the aisle.

"I was on the verge of having a mini-freak out considering we had a lot of outdoor areas for our reception and we had rented a convertible to ride in from the church to the reception! My sweet dad kept saying it would stop in a minute and then a huge gush came pouring down. At the same time, the song we had chosen for the solo began to play. I had totally forgotten the words to the song we picked out, and then the line came, "Rain down on us, rain down on us Lord." It was priceless and at that point everything was perfect."

From these beautiful photos, it doesn't look like the rain affected anything at all!

The bridesmaids wore Dessy Collection Style 2823 in Charcoal Gray. The fabric Cotton Voile is light and comfy, ideal for a summer wedding. It is also extremely re-wearable and has those oh-so-useful pockets!

"Thanks again for all of your help with the dresses. they were perfect and it was such an easy process for me and my girls!"

Coordinating a big bridal party across multiple states is not easy, so we're glad that we can make it as painless as possible for our brides!

Real Weddings Round-Up: Popping with Color

Happy Monday everyone! We can barely keep up with all the wonderful wedding photos that our brides are sending us. Here are a few that are simply bursting with color!

First off, Natalie and Adrian's UK wedding, which featured a mix of Alfred Sung styles in Midnight dupioni, personalized with colored sashes. Natalie included a sweet note about her experience ordering with Joielle:

I just wanted to write and express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your amazing help with ordering the bridesmaid's dresses for my wedding in December. You were so prompt with emails and unbelievably helpful and patient with the confusion I had with sizing. I happened to come across Joielle after some research on English wedding forums and am so glad I did! Planning a wedding involves so many different suppliers and those that are friendly and efficiency really make the difference to the process.

The British wedding blog Rock My Wedding profiled the entire wedding, which included exquisite cultural elements, a London bus to transport guests to the reception, and a "leaf tree" poster which guests signed with their thumb prints, adorable!

Next up, Sherryl and Kevin's earthy vintage-inspired wedding with a sweet tooth! The briesmaids wore Alfred Sung Style D437 in Caspian, Fiesta, Majestic, Mango and Cerise.

I wish I had thought of renting an ice cream truck for my wedding!

Finally, Grace and Leo's wedding at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills with an orange and teal color scheme. It's nice that orange is making a re-surgence. In fact, PANTONE's 2012 color of the year is a bold tangerine, so we'll probably see more to come!

The bridesmaids wore Alfred Sung D437, D436, D474, D462, and D470 in the color Fiesta. In Grace's words:

I received so many compliments from my guests for the bridesmaids dresses! They loved how everyone had a different style dress of the same color/fabric. I think it's fresh and modern that way.
