Real Weddings: Brittany & Terry

To help cool off from the scorching summer,  we're featuring Brittany and Terry's outdoor wedding that took place at the bride's family cottage in North Bay, Ontario. The ceremony took place on the dock and guests had the unique option to to take it in by boat or on land.

The bridal party wore Alfred Sung dresses and mens vests in Brownie dupioni. Brittany felt that they fit the day perfectly with casual and comfortable styles.

Brittany's favorite part of wedding planning was all the personal touches. The cake topper, hair and make up, and music were all done by family friends, and the plates and glasses were from their relatives. The tables were made by the groom, groomsmen and fathers, and the flowers were from local farmers. All the involvement made them feel loved and supported in their marriage.

At the end of the ceremony, Brittany and Terry "took the plunge" as husband and wife!

In Brittany's words, "Nothing can say cottage wedding like a bride in a bikini." After jumping in the water, one of Brittany's most memorable moments ensued:

"After taking the plunge has husband and wife, my parents were in a canoe enjoying the ceremony, so what better opportunity then to dump them in the water too! Bet the groom's parents were happy the decided to stay on land eh?"

Congrats Brittany and Terry! May your sense of fun and joy continue to be felt by everyone around you!
