Real Weddings: Shantel & Dave

To bid farewell to 2014, we are sharing Shantel and Dave's stunning wedding photos from Australia. We've had the pleasure of working with so many amazing brides and their bridesmaids this year and getting to see photos from the special day is icing on the cake!

Their beachfront outdoor ceremony almost didn't go as planned, with constant rain in the days leading up to the wedding. Shantel had the Bureau of Meteorology phone number on speed dial to get regular forecast updates and she jokes, "let’s just say they knew me very well". Thankfully the clouds parted and the sun was blazing on the wedding day!

The bridesmaids wore Watters' Tulip (Style 2595) in the color Coral.

When asked about her experience working with Joielle, Shantel shared:

"Very quick response, competitive pricing and very professional service even down to the condition the dresses were packed for delivery. The touch of a personalised card was also very nice from the Joielle Team."

The reception took place at Nautilus Restaurant in Port Douglas, an idyllic tropical setting. Reminds us of a secret garden!

Congratulations Shantel and Dave. We hope 2015 brings even more joy and laughter to your marriage!

Real Weddings: Adrienne & Brandon

Today we are featuring Adrienne and Brandon's Chattanooga wedding! Mixing in their personal style with heartfelt tributes to their families, it was truly exquisite and touching. Adrienne always knew she wanted a very thought out, detailed wedding with pieces to represent her and Brandon and where they came from. This included everything from a customized menu to their best friends performing the wedding music to their dads performing the ceremony.

When asked if she recalled a funny moment, Adrienne shared that right before they walked down the aisle, her dad said "Wanna not do this and go grab a burger?" Given that Adrienne had barely eaten that day, a burger sounded so delicious that the whole time she walked down the aisle, she was having trouble fully focusing on Brandon because she kept thinking about juicy cheeseburgers!

Brandon is a graphic designer, so he created all printed material for the wedding day. They also used keepsakes from their families. Adrienne especially wanted to honor her grandparents who passed away when she was in high school. She used some of her nana's brooches and lace to decorate her bouquet and carried her popa's handkerchief down the aisle. They placed their deceased grandparents' Bibles on the seats they would have been sitting in had they been alive. They also had their parents' and grandparents' wedding pictures displayed as people walked in with a sign that read "How It All Started".

Adrienne's bridesmaids wore dresses by Dessy Group in Midnight, mixing strapless sweetheart and ruffled one shoulder styles.

I loved getting our bridesmaid dresses from Joielle! Not only are the prices great, the process is easy. Any time I had a question, I received a response promptly. The instructions were easy to follow and the dresses came in right on time. I would advise anyone to order from Joielle if they're looking for high end bridesmaid dresses found in bridal boutiques.

When asked about her favorite moment, Adrienne shared that as the guests were arriving, she secretly watched from the balcony and listened to her friends sing songs before the ceremony started. She felt like she was watching a movie of their lives play out as people from their pasts and present were coming together to celebrate their marriage and new beginning. At that point, she had never been so sure of her decision to marry Brandon and felt so thankful for the paths that led them to each other.

Congrats Adrienne and Brandon. Just as you honor your past, we wish for even more memories to cherish in your future!
